About the teacher: Katie has been teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga to people of all abilities and in settings including sports teams, health clubs, community centers, and yoga studios for 12 yrs. Her teaching style is encouraging and direct and reflects her belief that everything we experience in our lives is a bodily experience and through yoga you can unlearn the negative and re-learn a positive integrated way of being. As a teacher, Katie's goal is that anyone who wants to can achieve the benefits of yoga, both thereaputic and physical in a deep and lasting way.

About the class: Yoga Flow classes will focus on linking movement to breath. Expect a well-rounded hour including standing poses, flowing sequences, balancing postures, and seated poses. Focus will be on breathing, increasing range-of-motion, flexibility, strength, and balance all while reducing stress and tension. All levels welcome and accommodated. About the teacher: My 1st yoga class was in college and it was the best class I ever took. While I loved the strength and flexibility I gained, I quickly became enthralled with the yoga sutras. I continue to study the eight limbs and use them as a source of inspiration in my life. I received my 200 hour certification in 2006 and my 500 hr certification in 2007 both from Cloud 9 Yoga Studio and School. I have since then taken teacher trainings at the Spokane Yoga School as well as with Julie Rader of Mukti Yoga.
